Women With Voices was founded in April of 2006 as an organization dedicated to speaking to today’s women by using various forms of media including, theatrical productions and literary works to address their issues and concerns. Women With Voices supports all women regardless of their race, color, creed and/or social economic status and looks to serve communities that suffer from barriers such as domestic violence, substance abuse, homelessness, and mental and physical health issues. As we stand behind our mission statement, “being the voice for the voiceless” our goal is to develop partnerships with like-minded, for-profit and not-for-profit, organizations to assist us as we work to empower the community we serve. Women With Voices has collaborated with the University of SUNY Albany within the capitol district along with partnerships with Whitney M. Young and the Roots and Trinity Alliance of the Capitol Region.
