Hobo Heyseus Feature Film Premiere

Honored at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival and the upcoming Hoboken International Film Festival the feature film “Hobo Heyseus” will have its local premier at The Linda. Filmed on location in the Capital District in the spring of 2013 tells the story of a homeless drifter named Heyseus. Heyseus tries to reconnect an out of touch town through odd philosophies and unconventional deeds. He finds a lonely old man, a curious teenager, a homeless family, a fragile waitress and a listless drunk; and promises to make their lives better in just seven days.

Director, Jon Russell Cring, with his wife, Tracy Cring have made eighteen films together. The duo teamed up with Troy, NY screenwriter Joshua Owens, to collaborate on writing a classic anti-hero tale.The film stars New York City Actor, Raymond Turturro. The ensemble cast is filled out by Upstate New York talent; Benita Zahn, Heidi Philipsen, Theodore Bouloukos, John Romeo, Lawton Denis, John Bard, Michael Doraby and many extras who came to be featured in scenes. Shot on location in Castleton on the Hudson, Schodack, Malta, Chatham, Stuyvesant, Albany, and Greenbush.

The music in Hobo Heyseus is a who’s who of area bands including Sergeant Dunbar, The North and South Dakotas, Caroline Mother Judge and Steve Candlen who composed and performed the original musical score.
