The Linda WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio is owned and operated by WAMC Northeast Public Radio, based in Albany, New York. Our signal reaches into portions of seven Northeastern states, and as far north as Montreal, Canada. We have many online visitors as well who tune in to hear our live broadcast stream at wamc.org.
In 1996, WAMC purchased a historic bank building and renovated it into a state-of-the-art, flexible performance space. We opened the doors The Linda with a commitment not only to live music, but to re-broadcasting our concerts to our entire listening area. A performance at The Linda offers an opportunity to perform in an intimate setting before a live audience, and also to be heard by thousands of devoted radio listeners. The venue generally seats 200 but is flexible in its seating and staging configurations. The venue serves beer and wine along with general concessions. In general, performances are recorded for later re-broadcast. The Linda is equipped with a state-of-the-art audio system, professional lighting, video projection and a Yamaha baby grand piano.
