Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young “Déjà vu”: Rochmon Record Club Listening Party
February 28 at 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Listen, learn about and discuss Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s 1970 album, “Déjà vu” at The Linda
Rising from the ashes of Buffalo Springfield, The Hollies and The Byrds, Crosby, Stills and Nash were feeling the pressure to repeat the success of their Grammy Award winning 1969 album “Crosby Stills & Nash”. The addition of Neil Young changed the sound of the band while retaining the wonderful vocal arrangements that drive each song. With songs like “Our House”, “Teach Your Children” and the title track, “Déjà vu” sets a line in the sand for emergence of the singer/songwriters so popular in the 1970’s.
The Listening Party begins at 7:30 pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, the songs and the stories that made this iconic album.
The Linda’s kitchen will be open for snacks and drinks. Tickets are available online at www.thelinda.org The Rochmon Record Club is presented by Universal Preservation Hall. The Rochmon Record Club is held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Caffe’ Lena (caffelena.org) in Saratoga Springs and the last Thursday of the month at The Linda (thelinda.org) in Albany.
