This concert is The Linda’s premier presentation of live music in immersive 5.1 surround sound.

Described as “cosmic jazz” (Boston Music Intelligencer) and “like Mozart mashed up with Club Beats and Electronica” (Original Gravity), pianist Sophia Subbayya Vastek and electronic artist David Ibbett present an electro-symphonic journey of growth and discovery – bridging the worlds of classical chamber music with electronic beats and sampled sounds of the universe. Vastek and Ibbett perform a concert of Ibbett’ works that explores such terrain as the fractal patterns of nature, the growth of an embryo, bleached coral reefs, and rising seas and a changing global climate.”

In 2018 The New York State Council On The Arts awarded The Linda WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio a grant to upgrade its audio video system. The Linda was provided with a brand new projector,projection screen, curtains, and an immersive 5.1 audio system from d&b Audiotechnik one of the top sound system companies in the world allowing live music to completely use every aspect of our space.
