J.D. Simo / GA-20

October 5, 2021 at 8:00 pm 11:00 pm

A double bill of blues powerhouses J.D. SIMO and GA-20.

The Linda requires all patrons, staff, and artists to show proof of vaccination against Covid-19 with ID. In addition all guests patrons and artists must wear facemasks regardless of vaccination status. Facemasks may be removed while eating , drinking or performing.

On his new and first solo record, the soon to be released, OFF AT 11, recording artist and Chicago native now Nashvillian, JD SIMO wants you to know that above all things, what matters most to him is that music should be honest. The gifted artist more than offers this in a psychedelic, free-flowing, dynamic soundscape that exemplifies just that… Honesty. Acid rock, traditional blues, folk, soul, free form jazz, and the never ceasing desire to improvise pulses from this collection in a mind bending, kaleidoscope of sound, energy and vibe. NPR said, “Nashville blues trio SIMO sounds as if it comes to us straight from 1968.” And Rolling Stone lauded, “J. D. Simo spins soulful psychedelic blues rock with an improvisational bent reminiscent of the Grateful Dead and Stevie Ray Vaughan. “

GA-20 was formed by friends Pat Faherty and Matthew Stubbs in Boston, MA in 2018. The project was born out of their mutual love of heavy traditional Blues, R&B, and Rock & Roll of the late 50s and early 60s. Faherty and Stubbs bonded over legendary artists like Lazy Lester, J.B. Lenoir, Earl Hooker, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush and Junior Wells. Feeling a void in current music, the duo have set out to write, record and perform a modern version of this beloved art form.
