ANDY IORIO: Open for Take-Out Virtual Concert Series
October 26, 2020 at 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Composer/Pianist Andy Iorio’s new release, “Awakening” is grounded in his trademark emotionally moving melodies and taken to new heights as he weaves them together with a lush, vibrant string section – bound to pull at listeners’ heartstrings. His original compositions give quiet impressions of serenity while carrying simple tonality. Its harmonies fluid and controlled run toward something both bare and natural. His goal is, and has always been, to engage, inspire and underscore the emotional connections between people and to compose music that speaks a universal soul-stirring language that “takes [the listener] along on a deep emotional journey that resonates within all of us.” Since the release of his second album “II” and newest album “Awakening”, Andy Iorio has become internationally recognized in over 70 countries. With only three music videos on Youtube with over 89,000 plus views to date, his fan base is ever growing. His vibrant piece “Rush” was nominated for an HMMA Award in Hollywood in November of 2016 in the “Best New Contemporary Classical/Instrumental” Genre/Category as well as the new title track from his latest release “Awakening” nominated in the same category this past November (2019). International radio airplay and interviews across the United States, NPR, Canada, Germany, Europe, The UK, Australia and Japan are just a few of the countries now playing Andy’s music and it continues to grow with over 175k streams in 2018/2019.
This intimate solo piano performance will be Andy Iorio’s return to The Linda stage to celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of his debut album “After The Rain” which he will perform in its entirety along with pieces from his other two award nominated albums: II and Awakening. He will also be premiering a brand new piece from his upcoming album entitled “Starlight” exclusively for this concert. Concert will be held at The Linda, Monday, October 26, 2020, at 8pm as part of the Open For Take-Out Virtual Concert Series on YouTube.
“Andy Iorio is the best kind of alchemist, perfectly blending classical elements with contemporary components to achieve a sound that is pleasing on multiple levels. Black & white to the eye, but to the ear, the heart, and the soul they have about a million shades of emotion. His evocative performances are what soul needs from time to time to rejuvenate. ” | RJ Lannan – Zone Music Reporter
“Capturing an elegant balance of shadow and light, Andy Iorio has demonstrated a keen ability to convey often dramatic emotional expressions within a generally subtle and perfectly understated musical framework. Overall II is a superbly crafted album” | Candice Michelle – Journeyscapes Radio
“Captivating, moving, emotional and stunning!! A mastery of the piano that goes far beyond the technical” | Andrea Garrison – Online with Andrea
